The Final Rays Of Sunlight

How can you forgive me, when I destroyed you.
When my last words to you were poison.
In your time of need, I betrayed you.
When I should have watched over you, I walked away.

And now you are gone, Like the last drops of rain,
Forever lost under overcast skies.
Like autumn winds, you caress one last time,
And disappear forever when the lights die.

I can feel your eyes with tears for me,
Feel the pangs of hatred and love entwined.
And I see the sun, set through your eyes,
The eyes are ignited in fire.

Rain falls over upturned eyes,
Mocking the heavens in wonder.
The winds finally close her eyes,
As my heaven in chaos burns.

Henceforth the Ocean shall run wild,
For the boat of the bearer is no more.
Bare is his chest for the spears to fall,
He is far away from the shore...
